NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, August 27, 2026 – KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax, and advisory firm, and the Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company (AIUC), today announced KPMG is the first of the Big Four to achieve AIUC-1 certification, building on its recent ISO 42001 certification and reinforcing the firm's leadership in trusted and governed AI.

The certification provides independent validation of security, reliability and governance controls for aIQ Capture, a KPMG developed agentic AI organizational intelligence platform. The platform underwent more than 900 technical tests including hallucinations, high-risk domain interactions, content safety, prompt injection attacks, and other scenarios intended to challenge the agent's reliability and resilience.

The certification places KPMG alongside a growing group of organizations with AI-native operations certified against the AIUC-1 standard, including Fin, Harvey, Cursor, Lovable and other leading enterprise AI platforms. KPMG will also join the AIUC-1 Consortium, a group of more than 250 Fortune 1000 security leaders helping shape standards for secure, reliable and accountable AI agents.

AIUC-1 is the reference security, safety, and reliability standard for AI agents, developed with a consortium of more than 250 enterprise security leaders and grounded in the latest AI research.
